Mr. Charles Claoué's ophthalmic training started at Southampton Eye Hospital, then continued as Wellcome Trust Research Fellow at the University of Bristol and Bristol Eye Hospital, followed by St.Thomas' Hospital, London and Moorfields Eye Hospital where he undertook fellowships in Anterior Segment and Corneal disease and Ophthalmic Primary Care. During this period he was awarded the Hamilton Bailey Prize of the International College of Surgeons. Mr. Charles Claoué is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with the National Health Service at The Queen's Hospital, London, and in independent private practice. He is regularly invited to lecture abroad on advanced aspects of cataract and refractive surgery including ophthalmic anaesthesia.
