THINGS TO AVOID IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT?

For the first month after treatment you should avoid activities such as:

  • swimming
  • taking power showers
  • wearing mascara (avoid eye make-up for one week)
  • be careful with strenuous exercise, contact sports and other physically demanding activities
  • avoid smoky or dusty environments.

In addition, you should also be gentle when washing your face, and only drive when you are comfortable with your new vision and meet the level of driving standard.

    AFTERCARE
All your aftercare is included with the cost of treatment. This includes routine post-treatment eye drops and medication, and all necessary protective eyewear for use during the healing period. You will receive a free check-up at a local private hospital the day after treatment, followed by further free checkups at 1 week and 1 month; additional free check-ups are available at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months and at any other time, should you require it.

    RETREATMENT
As with any operation, the outcome is not totally predictable and since corneal healing varies for each individual, we are not always able to achieve the desired results with your first treatment. In the rare event that this is the case, your Consultant may recommend an enhancement treatment. This will be offered free of charge within the year following the first treatment.
